YSS has been accredited with the nationally recognised quality mark for organisations which provide support to individuals to make learning and work more accessible – the matrix Standard.

This is the press release that YSS sent to local papers:

A West Midlands charity, YSS, working in West Mercia, has been accredited with the nationally recognised quality mark for organisations which provide support to individuals to make learning and work more accessible – the matrix Standard.

YSS first gained accreditation in 2009 and has been re- accredited in June 2012.

An independent charity, YSS, whose patron is The Princess Royal,  has over 25 years experience of providing community based support services for young people, adults and families who are vulnerable, have complex needs and who face difficult life challenges.

YSS staff and volunteers work with up to 2000 people per year and it wanted to ensure that they were receiving the best information, advice and guidance possible.

Rob Smith, YSS Chief Executive said of the organisation’s achievement:

“Matrix has spoken to Managers, staff, service users and volunteers and their feedback has endorsed the high quality of service YSS offers service users and shows the clear YSS commitment to supporting their complex needs.”

The assessor stated in her report that the level of service to service users remains a key component in the successful delivery of the projects on offer and this was re-confirmed during client interviews.
