David Andrewartha , Operations Manager for YSS criminal justice projects said “ This is a  great  opportunity for  partnership working between the university and YSS, and will give the  students  a taster  of working with  criminal justice clients. On their first  placement,  they will  have completed  induction training  on the Enhanced Support for Supervision project and  attended Mental Health first aid awareness training, together with shadowing  key workers  and  volunteers working to support  clients with a wide range of  issues.  The Students will get an insight in to the offender journey, from prison collections through to the rehabilitation in to the community.  With a particular emphasis on the benefits of partnership working”

Kate Bramford, from Worcester University  has been working with YSS to coordinate these placements.
