The 2nd round of University of Worcester  Criminology Student placements were completed successfully with YSS.

They have shadowed our keyworkers and staff on YSS projects: Enhanced Support  Service,  Employment Support Programme and Senior Attendance Centre over the last 3 months and observed all aspects of our role. This was our   2nd round of placements and we will be getting a 3rd intake in January 2016.

Further members of YSS Enhanced Support for Supervision staff have become fully trained mentors this year under our agreement to provide placements.

Student feedback:“As 2nd year Applied Criminology students at the University of Worcester, we have been welcomed to work alongside the YSS staff for 3 months. We have felt as part of the team as every member of staff that we have worked with has been very friendly and happy to assist us with our studies.

We have learnt some valuable key skills for this area of work that we need in order to pursue with our career. The opportunity of working with a variety of different key workers has given us a broad experience of how to adapt to situations and how to deal with potential challenging situations. We would like to thank all the staff at YSS for having us and helping us throughout our journey, we have thoroughly enjoyed our time here. “Lucy and Maria
